Hoya Isabelchanae

Description

Hoya isabelchanae otherwise known as Hoya sp. GPS 7-35 is an Acanthostemma type Hoya that has pomegranate colored flowers with no scent and peduncles that are 4-5 inches long.

Hoya isabelchanae is only known from the base of Gunung Boliohutu, Sulawesi, where it was collected in 2002 and brought into cultivation.

The plant is easy to grow, which is a good job as you have to essentially re-root these Thai plants as they are ripped out of their media and usually all of the roots are completely dried out when the plant is received.

It’s a hoya which seems easiest grown hanging. The leaves are stiff, somewhat recurved and have few spots. They are a little hairy and get a lovely dark red colour if it’s grown in bright light / sunshine. The under side gets lighter red in the sun. The leaves are rather small, about 2.5-5 cm long and 1.5-3 cm wide. It’s easy to root, but you need to pot several cuttings in the same pot to get a nice plant and it doesn’t grow too fast…

The flowers are almost ball shaped, very hairy, dark red and the are about 1 cm in diameter. You’ll find 5-15 flowers in an umbel. The flowers only last a couple of days and they have a very fresh fragrance which mostly remind of fresh cut grass. They produce some nectar.

We ship worldwide via our Trusted Express Courier (delivery approx 7 – 14 days from shipment date) with dispatch 5-7 days after payment is received.

Shipping Cost : US$85 for first item plus US$10 for every additional item (including PHYTOSANITARY CERTIFICATE)

REFUND AND REPLACEMENT

– In case a plant is dead on arrival within 15 days after shipping, please send us a photo for approval to request replacement/refund, but not later than 15 days after shipping.

– For replacements, we will replace the plant free of charge to you (excluding shipping cost)
– For refunds, we will refund the price of the plant to you (excluding any shipping cost)

– In case of a lost package or tracking (over 45 days) please check your tracking number on the courier website. If the package is still in delivery process or has been stopped at customs, it is out of the scope of our guarantee refund.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a living plant, it will be placed in a dark box without sunlight during shipping so it may have imperfections or yellowed leaves upon arrival. Please be allow some time to grow it back and please don’t stress either yourself or the plants 🙂
