Hoya Deykei

Description

Hoya Deykei is a vining epiphytic plant with attractive waxy foliage featuring firm and succulent leaves with distinctive veining and a slightly heart-like shape, similar to Hoya Kerii. It is native to the island of Sumatra, with a vining and climbing habit.

It produces sweetly scented multiple flowers, hanging or more upright, grouped in an umbel. The flowers are light creamy yellow with peach colored centers. They are star-shaped, and are borne in clusters that look like they are made of wax. The flower’s surface has a smooth appearance without the tiny hairs seen in many other Hoya. They are heavily scented with a lime fragrance.
