Who We Are
Don't worry, we won't give you our life story š
Nursery Plants is a small family-run business that started back in 2015 as a backyard nursery growing primarily hoya, orchids, and other houseplants. Today we own a 5 acre nursery in the suburbs of Bangkok and propagate over 1,000 different species of plants.
We specialize in rare and unusual tropical plants, but we also have a large selection of Hoya plants and fragrant plants.
We focus on plants that thrive indoors and in sheltered outdoor positions. Our aim is to providing quality, tailored advice and education on these species, so that you can get the most of your plants at home.
So, you are probably wondering what the deal is with those Hoya plants everyone is raving about?
Well let us tell you: these magnificent green baby's are capable of producing some pretty amazing flowers (if you are kind to them, and incredibly patient). Flowering can take up to two years but the result is stunning. If you want yours to flower, keep the humidity at over 40%, fertilize regularly in spring and summer and water thoroughly when the soil has dried out about a third of the way through.
Hey, no one said this was easy!
Its true that we are mainly a mail order based retail nursery, but we also offer wholesale prices for some plants that we are able to propagate in quantity. We do allow nursery visits by appointment only.
If you are a tropical plant collector and/or avid gardener, you have come to the right place!
Thank you for your continued support of our small business. The kindness and positivity we have experienced from the indoor plant community is truly amazing."
Q: What are Hoya?
If you remember a vine creeping around your grandmotherās kitchen, chances are it was a Hoya plant. This tropical indoor plant ā often called a āWax plantā due to its thick waxy leaves ā is a classic because it lives forever, grows to be enormous, and creates beautiful, porcelain-like fragrant flower clusters.
Q: How do I look after them?
Hoya like to be pot-bound or crowded in their pots. They will only need to be repotted every two or three years. Water regularly with room-temperature water, spring through summer. Let the top layer of soil dry between watering.
Q: What is our Hot Deal?
Depending on the time of year, we often have a surplus of one type of plant or another, When this happens we like to offer our regular customers a discounted rate which gives you a great chance to add to your collection.

Porn
Plant ExpertHi! Iām Porn, My love of plants originates from a childhood spent on farms and in forests in an area called Chiang Mai in the Northof Thailand, up in the mountains. After I moved to Bangkok to study horticulture in the 80's, my focus shifted to suit my new environment. After graduating I started a few different small businesses until finally I decided to concentrate on what I love and Nursery Plants was born.
Pure
Business ExpertHello! Iām Pure! I grew up in the city, but I love nothing more than to be surrounded by the lush rainforests of my country, Thailand. I am still at university studying Business, which allows me to help my mom, Porn, with the business side of Nursery Plants. I worked part time in the business for a few months, but once it took off it was all hands on deck, and these days I am spending more and more time taking care of the business.
Pie
Marketing ExpertI'm Pie and I am the youngest in the family. I am studying Business Marketing and I take care of advertising the company and its products across the internet, mostly using social media. Like my sister, Pure, I grew up in the city, but every opportunity I get to spend time in the countryside, thats where I am most at home. I have always enjoyed growing things, so joining the family business was a natural 'next step' for me.
